a friend of mine from high school has her two kids in jeffco, so i've been hearing about the school board fuckery for months now. my favorite high school teacher actually retired last year in the face of a similar situation/school board in the district i was in (douglas) - which is a shame, because at the time, it was one of the best anywhere.

i am deeply pleased to see how this has blown up in the board's faces, and so fucking proud of these kids in my home state right now. does my heart good to know they see what's up.

I cannot believe that woman's ignorant, ridiculous FB 'statement'. What utter bullshite. So glad these kids are standing up, and being supported. Hope this nonsense dies a quick death.

Hoo boy. She doesn't understand how the course framework is laid out to begin with. So much headshaking. I went to read the actual curriculum at AP just to see if she had the glimmerings of a point. She didn't.

Go get 'em, students!

I think Julie Williams and her cronies need copies of Lies Across America and Lies My Teacher Told Me introduced to them by force.

As a proud teacher of race, class, gender, and America-bashing, I salute these students and live in fear for my job.

Add:
- Talk of the US Japanese internment camps during world war II

Because obviously that's just "America bashing".
