I think the SNP got it catastrophically wrong on the nationalism. People have never liked that here, it's too easy to get out of control and dangerous.

Rarely do you see MP's referring to each other as "anti-British" because our patriotism (or lack thereof) is kept mainly with the monarchy, away from political debate. I'm as ambivalent as anyone about the royals but for that they serve an important purpose. And the tourism revenue. About 56 pence a year (2013 figure, excluding security) for each citizen is a hell of a lot cheaper than a republic too.

But I digress. We're better together. And Scotland has the best of both worlds now with new devolved powers coming their way.

Yeahhh I was talking to someone I know to be quite liberal today about a friend of mine who moved to the UK from Romania. My friend is 17 and moved there for university. The person I was speaking to said "She's not working while she's here, is she?"
