Well, it certainly doesn't help that the movie poster looks like the advertisement for one hell of an action comedy. :D

i wish the cameron siblings would just sit down and shut the fuck up.

that said...this looks hilariously bad. like, the room or santa claus vs the martians levels of bad. the kind of thing that will, a year from now, end up on a four-movies-for-a-dollar DVD at walgreens (incidentally, where i found santa claus vs the martians).

Does Candace share his fanaticism?

She's definitely a conservative Christian, possibly evangelical, so I'd guess some/most of their beliefs are the same, but she isn't constantly shoving it down people's throats. It does come up in interviews and whatever though.

Did... did he just call Jesus Christ, his Lord and Saviour, Son of God and representation of God's love for humanity, a fruit? That doesn't seem particularly respectful. I'm pretty sure people have been yelled at for calling Jesus that.

(My response to "Happy Holidays" frothing has always been "it's inclusive of the New Year, guys".)

New Years is clearly oppressive, since non-Christians also celebrate it.

“Apparently you can’t include anything past Christmas, like Kwanzaa, Epiphany or New Year’s. Although by that logic, it means that up until Hannukah, you can only say, ‘Happy Hannukah,’ but who the f*ck cares about that?”

My response is that most of the time when I say happy holidays it's actually Hanukkah and not Christmas so god forbid I include them and not exclude them.

My mother says if you wish anyone happy holidays and they object you should tell them "fine then, go fuck yourself". My mom is a good person sometimes.

Not unless there's political clout to gain. Otherwise, there's usually no reason for them to care about swarthy people in general.

IME, yes, BUT.....it's always with an ulterior motive, usually one of two things. Either to justify discrimination against Muslims here in the US (because of how Christians are being treated in, say, Iran, for example), or to justify anti-feminist policies here in the US (because it's SO MUCH WORSE in other countries).
