There's an abandoned religious theme park next to highway here which finally someone bought to restore. and the first thing they did was restore the giant cross... by covering it in high intensity LEDs.

fortunately you can really only see it from one direction, briefly. Not usually what you expect to see in Connecticut...

complete with diorama of Daniel in the lions den. FUN FOR EVERYONE.

it's also built on a cliff face known to have timber rattlesnakes living on it, so climbing is not recommended. since the park has been abandoned, I would bet a donut there's a winter den somewhere in there since its basically full of artificial caves.
