Though I've read all the books, I shrug off most of the changes as it's a different medium.

Let’s just say that somewhere in America right now there is a group of women coming up with a religion that is against pacemakers and Viagra and they are very much looking forward to proving their point.

YES. I am totally starting the religion of Prostate Cancer is God's Will And Should Not Be Treated With Demon Medicine. Let's see those fuckers deal with THAT.

"Low Testosterone" drugs should also not be covered. If female hormone control is giving in to teh devil, so are male hormone drugs.

Here's the really messed up part. The decision was written fairly narrowly, basically saying that birth control was the ONLY medical decision your employer could make for you. So say you're a Christian Scientist and don't think your employees should have access to ANY modern medicine, according to Alito, you can't hang your hat on this decision.

I would just LOVE to understand the mental gymnastics that allowed those five men to come up with the idea that corporations can't impose their religious preferences to refuse to cover blood transfusions, but if you don't want to cover birth control it's A-OK.

I wish Randi Rhodes was still on the radio, she saw this coming. I would love her insight on this, will women really be mobilized in 2014,and vote in the midterms?

i may be cynical, but i can't see this changing anything. white women will still either not vote or vote repub.

I agree with you. I don't think this is drastic enough to "rally the base." Hell, I'm not sure if I believe anything will be "drastic enough" to compel women to band together and vote the republicans down. :/

My mother is 74 and her circle of friends were passing around more and more rage inducing articles about this all day yesterday. Fear the wrath of retired women that remember fighting for this shit when they were young. nu-unh, we are not going backwards!

and all the talk about women voting against republicans, it's black women and other women of color voting against republicans. i'll believe this change when i see it.
