Why? I don't get it. I mean at least with puppy mills they're reprehensible but I understand the financial incentive to torture those dogs. But why this? She doesn't sound like she's getting paid or making money off this. Why torture and starve dogs just because?

I don't know if that was the case here, but there have been animal hoarders who were taking in rescue animals and supposedly starting off with the best of intentions, but then ended up getting overwhelmed with the amount of animals in their care.

It's certainly not something I can understand when you see your animals starving and overcrowded, yet don't admit that it's become too much for you and ask for help

Yeah, it......really is impossible now to even begin to figure out the reasons for all of this. It doesn't seem to be a case of hording, since she was taking in people's pets for training, with the explicit promise of those dogs being returned to their families after training.

I hate to even imagine how many families she tricked into entrusting their pets to her, that will never see them again.

She seems to be sticking to blaming other people for it (her own mother of all people) and pretending that this happened in the last month. But those remains have been there for god knows how long and she took in at least one dog as recently as two weeks ago. So it's obvious her "bed rest I haven't been around for a month" is a lie.

Based on the most recent article I found, money seems to have been one motivation. She took $1,500 to train a dog that hasn't been seen alive in over six months. I think she's a scam artist, and an evil creature. There's a special place in hell for people like her.

My heart breaks for everyone who lost their dog. It's bad enough if they just get sick, but to know they suffered? I can't imagine the pain.

Yeah. And so many remains are impossible to identify, so many will never have the comfort of at least being able to bury their dog or have their ashes in an urn. They'll never truly know what happened, other than the fact they won't ever seen their four-legged family again.
