My dog of 15 years died this week and I swear if any of you do hugs or "i'm osrrys' i will punch you in the face because I'm mostly okay... we caught that something was wrong before she really started to suffer and I had her for more than half of my life which means she lived for a good long time so I don't really need to mourn (I've been doing that for a while really), I just need to say it to get it out and process it a bit

OMG MLP FINALE WAS AMAAAAAAAZING. The ponies turning into monsters would have been magnificent, tho.
For me, I really loved Discord in the season premier and the finale, but his episode in the middle was weak (and he must never sing again). They should have built up his character arc with at least one Fluttershy and Discord episode and half of another so that when he finds Tirek [Spoiler (click to open)] it'd be more of a "noooo Discord you were doing so well!" moment.
I like that he's a regular now but idk - there seems to be this bounce between "HE'S A VILLAIN! HE'S REFORMED!" that doesn't quite work for me because he can still be chaotic in nature and, you know, like the ponies. He trolls them all the time now so it didn't seem to make sense that he'd turn ont hem because if the ponies were wiped out he wouldn't be able to continue trolling everyone but Fluttershy.
But I know he's a fandom hit which I can also understand but yeah. In retrospect it felt like this season was very adventure-lite and very big on Day-to-Day lessons and while I enjoyed that htey were interconnected I like to see the ponies beating up on stuff.
See, I've always been under the impression that Discord is not completely reformed because of his aside at the end of his reformation episode when he says he'll keep his chaotic nature under wraps most of the time. Trolling seems to be an outlet for his chaotic nature, but after having complete freedom then imprisonment and then being expected to only use his chaotic powers when the other ponies say its OK or he'll be put into stone again if he messes around too much--I can see why he [Spoiler (click to open)] went with Tirek and betrayed the ponies. That and he thought he was in a partnership, so he probably thought he'd be able to keep Fluttershy and the other Mane 6 to troll with. I really wish we had a Fluttershy and Discord episode to bring to light Discord's struggle with being so restrictive with his nature and to explore their friendship post "reformation", plus show a bit more clearly that he isn't totally reformed

My mom passed away on Mother's Day last year. Tomorrow will be a year. I'm trying my best to focus on the good memories I have of her. I love you, mom.
My mom met my boyfriend today (he leaves for Germany for three months on Wednesday, so this was one of the last times she'd get a chance to so I combined doing Mother's Day with her with spending time with him and getting delicious Southern food). The first fifteen minutes or so went over like a fart in church, but it got better and they seemed to like each other.
