I can bring home the bacon
Fry it in a pan.
Never let you forget
That you a man.
Go to work and get paid less than the man
When I'm doing the same damn thing that he can!

From 'Ain't Nuthin' But a She Thang'.

So the glibertarian takeover of New Hampshire is clearly going every bit as well as expected, in that the few who remain have gotten themselves government jobs.

When will these stupid assholes not get it. A women, with the same skills and education as a man, doing the same job, gets paid less than that man. That is what the pay gap is about you brain-dead asswipes.

Exactly! He's saying something completely different. He's saying that a high risk job pays more than a low risk job. Well, duh! But if a woman was doing the high risk job, she should get the same pay as a man doing it. He's just sort of blowing past that whole idea.

And some women are not as motivated by money as some men... just like some men are not as motivated by money as some women. Hey, imagine being motivated is just a human trait shared by everyone! And it doesn't matter if you're as motivated by money as your colleague or not; if you're doing the same work, you still deserve the same pay!.

And actually, he's wrong about that too. Many high-risk, dangerous occupations are actually very low-paying, because they involve physical labor and are usually worked by poor people.

I've lost track of the number of male co workers of mine who completely slackassed on the job, barely show up, barely stay awake all shift, barely get their work done, and yet, constantly got better pay/assignments than I did.

I worked nights. And in the open cold. And overtime. And double shifts on 2 hrs notice and yet, I was judged to be less? Yeah. Kiss my ass, dude.

I just finished a college program. I have a 9m old and I was doing 4 classes. The guy next to me? doing 2 classes with a 7yr old.

He rarely showed up for lecture. Barely worked at his projects. Handed in everything late. Sailed a pass without issue.

Me? I handed in one project in one class, late and it became this case where the prof decided to threaten to fail me for the entire course.

I fought and won, but really???? I didn't use "MY KID" as an excuse to never show up, and to hand in work late. It really ate at me all semester. I'm quite glad I'm done, because what kind of job lets you sail in to work 4 hours late, do 15 minutes of "work" and then off on a smoke break for an hour besides Mayor of Toronto?

I was at the studio 9am- 4pm every day taking maybe a 30 min lunch, 6, sometimes 7 days a week ( that was fun for husb and baby) and the rare time I was late on work, was a national crisis.
