Can't say I'm impressed by people who are able to have compassion only after they've suffered the same thing as others. The inability to feel empathy runs strong with these folks.

Yup. I mean, I have empathy for those who are poor, ill, suffering from disabilities and the fact that society is doing less and less to help them, and I've never had to directly deal with any of those things. I guess I was born without the bone that most conservatives have that makes them unable to put themselves in anyone else's shoes.

Pretty much. I mean, on one hand, I'm glad that she changed her mind and is now doing stuff to get these medications covered for people, but it's pretty fucking shitty that she was willing to throw everyone else under the bus until it became something that affected her directly.
