I love what he said about Bill Nye. We definitely need people like him that can make science more accessible to others. And props for rocking the Warehouse 13 shirt.

Bless this guy for his patience, I found most of these questions ridiculous and some outright offensive, what the hell people. The worst part was them holding up their "GOTCHA!" questions with that big smile on their face.

There is more room for a god in science than there is for no god in religious faith.

And this is the main difference between religion and science. Religion will forever try to cling to the world view of the past until it gets ridiculous (e. g. "world is flat") - even if there's ample evidence to the contrary.
Science will doubt at first, but discuss, and once the evidence comes in it will simply edit the playbook and carry on.

What purpose do you think you are here for if you don't believe in salvation?

I never understood this. Why does there have to be a purpose at all?

That salvation question actually made me pause because... do they believe their only purpose in existing is simply to have your soul be saved? That seems rather unfulfilling to me.

(also it makes it sound like god created humans simply for the power trip of 'only saving the worthy' but okay, if that's what you believe in)

Just more proof, imo, that these people really don't think their beliefs all the way through. Because (as pointed out) when you think this one through to its logical conclusion, it makes no damned sense at all!

Maybe it's the "being together with your God" thing that makes it all perfect? *is at a loss, too*

22) If we came from monkeys then why are there still monkeys?

Let me ask you this: If you came from parents, why are there still parents?

I love this one! I shall have to remember it.

Another one is, if there are Americans and Australians, then why are there still British people?

Okay, I have to tell my Australian and British friends this. :D

That's the one I didn't like, actually, because it supports their inaccurate assumptions.

Since humans are not descendents from any of the primates (or monkeys) around, but share a common ancestor, the better rebuttal would be:

Why do you believe that your cousins gave birth to you?
