That's a major concern as well.

There's also the fact that places with Free Wi-fi and other places that carry internet will not be able to keep it free or will be limited on what people can access. I fear for libraries that have internet and how much their bills are going to rise due to needing to buy extras.

I don't think I'm going to be able to breathe easy until someone fixes this because god only knows how many people with mental and/or physical disabilites rely on the internet, and most likely- wouldn't have the money to continue to have access. This thing/ruling has the potential to fuck over so many people that it is beyond unfunny.

It's going to play havoc with small businesses, on-line shops, and people who telecommute/work from home, too.

Seriously- it's going to screw over almost everyone- except for those who are making money off of it.

Not commenting on the actual content yet, since I'm only three paragraphs in, but

Conti is concerned about the ruling's potential ramifications for school's like his

Somehow I'm not surprised the source is foxnews.com - apparently even when they present reasonably unbiased reporting, their copy editing is shit. Journalistic standards, what are they?

Edit: Okay, having finished the article... holy unintended consequences, Batman. Can we please stop fucking around with net neutrality? Waiting for our Google overlords to come down on this like the fist of an angry god.

If it will amount to anything- the people of Netflix sound pretty pissed off about it.

Netflix was actually my first thought (and it's not surprising, giving that half their business model is streaming video), but I'm not sure they have enough lobbying power.
