Luckily, I have family whose water supply comes from the unaffected Coal River, I'm worrying about the people who don't have transportation or funds to access what bottled water there is left. I've heard reports of people jacking up water and ice prices, and buying in bulk to resell. Despicable. Luckily, I also know there are people who are driving around supplying people. Hopefully this is over soon and we get some answers and accountability (not holding my breath for that last one).

I can say with 110% confidence that the company who had the spill DOES NOT GIVE A SHIT. And now they are arguing the inspection reports the enforcement staff wrote up, saying that they've gotten stuff wrong, misunderstood people they talked to, etc. AND IT IS ALL BULLSHIT. I know one of the inspectors who went up there very well and he wouldn't pull any of that shit.

I am so fucking angry right now I could puke.

By chance, do you happen to know if the water company thinking they could handle this and not closing their intakes is a true thing?

Yeah, I thought that myself. No clue where they got that name. The facility itself used to be a Penzoill storage facility and probably hasn't been upgraded since the place was built back in the 70's I think.
