I note how this this guy specifically refers to them giving up BABIES. Not children. Just babies. don't want children... they might have already formed opinions and started thinking for themselves. just give us the babies!

I hadn't noticed that, but it is an excellent point. And really chilling, considering the history of Evangelical or otherwise Conservative Christians and wanting to adopt for the sake of "saving" babies from non-Conservative Christian lives.

The whole time I was reading his little diatribe, I was thinking, "Yeah, you just want more children being raised by Good Christian Homes(tm) because you see them as little blank slates that can be brainwashed to accept your agenda and go on to help promote it."

Assholes like Land sees children as a resource to be exploited for their own ends, period. He makes me SICK.

FUCK THIS GUY. Fuck him so hard. He is all but advocating for single moms to have their kids snatched away the moment they're free of the womb.

A single mother who keeps her baby is quite often denying that baby the father that God wants for that baby, and every baby, to have.

Funny how it's somehow not the father doing that. As a woman, as a non-christian, and generally thinking of myself as a decent fucking human being, I find this revolting.

Furthermore, in most circumstances, keeping the baby circumscribes and forecloses both the mother’s and the baby’s economic futures in tragic and unfortunate ways.

I'd think the truly decent thing to do, then, would be to help out struggling single parents, rather than take their children away. But that's just me.

And, single fathers exist. I would love to hear this guy's thoughts on them.
