I actually like this article, even though I understand why others don't.
But now and then I like seeing someone realize these things, that are obvious when they apply to you. Like realizing that men are allowed to be larger than women (by society and clothing). Which is of course obvious to most women who actually live that, but men still don't pay attention.

Though I do find his experiences a little interesting. I wear a size 16/18, or XL/XXL in women's usually, and in men's I wear 1X/2X. But then, the only things I ever buy in men's are things I want to be loose, so obviously my 2X men's fit nothing like my 2X women's.

This.

Yeah, I know it's mansplainy. You know what? Women have been writing about this shit for decades. I'VE been writing about this very same problem FOR A DECADE. And no one gives a single fuck. Why? Because I'm just a whiny fatass bitch who needs to STFU and get back on the treadmill. But if I GUY writes about it "OMG! Is this what its really like?!" NO, and it never will be for you... because even if someone calls you fat, it will never be a gendered insult.

But if even one fucking douchebro reads this article and stops and thinks for a few minutes about what 'real' women's sizes are actually like, awesome. Let them listen to him. Because they sure as hell aren't listening to us.

Agree. I don't care if it's 'mansplaining'. Women know this but *men don't*, so he's mansplaining to them. YAY.

Yeah, I think the target audience here is not people who are already well aware of how hard it is to find women's clothes, though I do understand why others take issue with it.
