I got an email from Credo about this, and how "OH NO EVIL TOYS R US IS MAKING CHILDREN PREFER PLASTIC OVER SAVING OUR TREES"
Save it, hipsters. Just seriously save it. You're too busy trying to "stick it to the man", nitpicking a detail when this was for overall GOOD. I almost want to apply that saying "can't see the forest for the trees" here.
But seriously... this pissed me off royally. How come they want Toys R Us to buckle down and "take responsibility" why don't these faux-tivists actually turn it around and take some inner city kids to see some gatdamn trees?!
And once they let those kids off the actual bus into a nature preserve or forest, dollars to donuts the kids would be running around excited and discovering things. Toys R Us filmed them ON THE BUS RIDE with an adult they didn't know droning at them about things they didn't understand. OF COURSE they were bored.
I just got an email about this encouraging me to sign a petition because this ad is apparently "anti-environment". I checked to see how many people had signed it (for the record, I definitely did not) and it was almost 5000 people. I just cannot. That is fucking ridiculous.

And my gut says that a parent whose child has ever had to do without did not write this comment.
