While I do accept that there are plenty of liberals just as rigid, misogynistic, and racist as the conservatives they complain about, I have to laugh outright at this: Both have their fair share, but the nature of conservatives is "live and let live."

I've yet to meet a conservative who fits that definition. Then I looked at the source and it all becomes clear where that extra-special delusional sauce is coming from.

The nature of conservatives is "live and let live" when it comes to addressing racists and misogynists? In that context I guess it works. Certainly isn't the nature of conservatives when it comes to abortion, gay marriage, the poor, et cetera.

I really needed the "not the onion" tag on this one. It's so deluded that it reads as absolute satire.

Both have their fair share, but the nature of conservatives is "live and let live."
It might be the nature of many Liberal Republicans, but they are so reviled by other conservatives that Schwarzenegger is the only one I've seen outside of Oregon (and he'd probably deny it, just to save face).

Breitbart. OF course. :O

I'm not familiar with Breitbart. Are they satire, or just a bunch of delusional conservatives?

After Googling, I think I begin to see. How anybody can be this disconnected from reality and still able to operate a keyboard, I will never know.

They're the source of a LOT of self-delusional insanity. As in, "How do those particular neurons connect to form THAT?"

It's almost unfathomable as anything BUT satire, but that's business as usual for them. :O

Actually, it appears to be Greg Gutfield, a Fox host whose book about fighting the liberals is called "The Joy of Hate."

Foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of people who don't aren't pimping outrage to stay out of the stratum of society they use as a rhetorical crash test dummy.

I'm so glad I wasn't the only one thinking that way.

It is theoretically possible to do second person well. But it is hard.

I know of only a single instance of good second person (Welcome to Night Vale's "A Story About You"). Everything else has been pretentious and unwieldy.

How nice. Too bad that philosophy doesn't extend to my uterus.

Or to immigrants, non-Christians, athiests, poor people, the disabled, LGBT, women who don't want to stay at home and make babies . . .

And yet, their own women are allowed to enter politics and embarrass themselves saying stupid shit as much as the men are.

You realize--in a quiet, private moment--that you aren't a liberal. What next?

Realize that liberal/Democrat and conservative/Republican aren't the only choices, and become a socialist :D
