I'm assuming this is parodying her song's video... but this was so unpleasant to view, I don't even want to look up that video to compare.
From running across various other side-eye inducing videos, any director that suggests using an empty bathtub as part of the video should be immediately fired. No recent video with an empty bathtub ends well.
I just watched the original (with the sound off LOL). Most of the imagery from the SNL version has been adapted from the original video, they just changed it so it fits the Republican theme of the new video. This does make a lot more sense after comparing the two, even though I'm not crazy about the original song, I can see where they were going with the parody.
Yeah, I figured it was pretty well matching moves from the original. I dunno, the parody just doesn't seem over the top enough? campy enough? fun? like even the performers aren't really sold on it.
yeah. I chuckled a little bit when I first watched it but I think it could have been better. And I wonder if Miley even knows who Michelle Bachman is, because if she had done some work trying to mimic her facial expressions, it would have been hilarious.

She should keep that wig on, it works for her a lot better than whatever is she has been trying to do with her own hair
