I got all excited the other day when I saw a headline about some bankers who were found guilty and were awaiting sentencing, but when I read further I saw it was because the bankers had defrauded other banks. So Average Joe is still getting no justice.

This is a little misleading on how the False Claims Act works (the DOJ basically ran the first case as soon as Szymoniak filed, and probably declined to intervene in the second case), but I'm not surprised at all. Banks are pretty much the worst of the sociopathic corporate entities.

Given all the shit we went through with our bank threatening to foreclose on our (totally current!) mortgage even though we were 100% following the requirements of the note, my lack of surprise here is epic.
