An 11-year-old Chilean girl who has become pregnant from rape is
renewing a contentious debate over abortion in the conservative Catholic country, where the medical procedure is illegal under all circumstances. Doctors have warned that continuing the pregnancy will be dangerous for the 11-year-old’s health, as well as for the health of her fetus.

Yeah. I started to say I wasn't sure which one was worse, the mother or the boyfriend/abuser. But on reflection, I have to say that,I think I have a lower opinion of the mother. If you're a mother, the first item in your job description is to PROTECT YOUR CHILDREN FROM HARM. I say this as a mother myself. Anyone who wants to harm a hair on my daughter's head--hell, a single cell in her body--is going to have to go through me, and I guarantee you, they'll be sorry they tried.
This lousy excuse for a mother has not only failed to protect her daughter, she's actually taking abuser's side against her daughter. That's the maternal definition of pond scum, afaic.

There are no words to describe the sheer, unadulterated rage I feel right now. If was physically capable of going over there and vomiting fire and poison all over these monsters I would.
