If there was ever a post that should have a "men suck" tag, this would be it.
Though I would request we update that tag to "men are the scum of the earth"
Seeing every state's misogynistic bullshit all neatly lined up had taken my rage level to 11, holy shit.

Must. Escape. TEXAS.

And yes, it looks like they're ramming that abortion bill through AND pissing away a million bucks to make sure the school funding and other not-so-awesome bills pass.

Because he's pandering hardcore to the right so he can revive his presidential hopes.

I am so shocked that the majority of this list consists of southern states... NOT.

Um, only 3 states are part of what's generally considered the South. You can maybe count Texas and Arkansas, but those are more mid-west. That's hardly a majority. The list sucks, but let's be accurate.

...How on Earth are Texas and Arkansas not considered southern states?

Like I said, they're generally more southwest or mid-west states. There are various versions of US regional maps, but traditionally neither of those are part of the area meant when "The South" is referred to. And even if you count them, that's still only half of the list. Painting this as a Southern problem also ignores all the issues in other states.

Wow. So much for Roe v. Wade and choice being every woman's constitutional right. That seems to have gone right down the old crapper lately ( ... )

I think more people need to be aware of the personhood movement because they seem to have led this move to using legislation. And they're starting up in Canada. I try to spread the word but people aren't interested in these extremists

God, I hope it doesn't gain any traction in Canada. That's *one* thing that Harper seems to have made good on... He squashed his backbenchers when they tried to bring the issue up, and I like to think that the antichoice movement isn't as strident up here. Hopefully that stays true for the next two years and then we get a different party in power.
