Um, WTF? Seriously. I spent twelve years in Catholic schools and we never achieved this level of batshit insanity.

You have my sympathy; I'm Boston Irish Catholic so we kind of trump the planet except maybe for Ireland, lol.

My aunt is a PA Catholic, and YUP. They can be more extreme than Southern Baptists.

Let's not forget that Metcalfe was one of the top proponents of the Voter ID law because he wanted to steal the election for Mittens. Butler County is extremely rural and of course conservative, which is how he managed to get elected.

Here's a list of other shitty things going on here now:
1.) Governor who most likely had a huge part in the Sandusky cover-up (he was the DA who declined to prosecute on the grand jury report, remember)
2.) Governor who accused us all of being lazy if we don't have jobs, because we won't submit to drug tests
3.) Governor who tricked folks into allowing fracking on the basis that it would bring back high-pay labor jobs, and instead worked with the oil companies (giving them tax breaks) to bring in the reverse carpetbaggers who are currently destroying our land and disrespecting our citizens
4.) We made Rick Santorum happen

I never really saw Butler as any more rural than some of the other counties in this area. I mean, Cranberry is in Butler County and that's a pretty large suburban area.

Edit for typo and redundancy.

Oh god yes on butler county. I went to Slippery Rock University and during the 2004 election the college democratic "club" (? lack of better word) made sure all the students knew which of the 2 polling places they were supposed to go to. (Campus was split in two, in fact one of the res halls was split!) Cause if you went to the wrong one, the poll people wouldn't tell you, let you vote, then toss your ballot. Very red in that county.

I do not even know how to describe how angry it makes me that legislators are able to silence another legislator they disagree with just by saying they think that person is violating "God's Law". WTF happened to our government?
