I'm wary of news about Cuba since I seem to mostly hear it from CIA-flavoured sources (there's a guy who spams library listservs) or white Latinas in Florida telling me how evil it is to end an aristocracy. And I believe the Washington Times is pretty far right, as I recall.

Certainly this may be true--and why wouldn't Cuba want to continue the relationship rather than risk isolation?--but can anyone recommend an alternative spin? I think I've heard different takes on what Venezuela is like right now in this com...
