It would be bad enough if he made this comment out of the blue. But after this week with all the controversy it's just inexcusable. And if you're going to make this comment when tired, you are a racist.

While I believe the 13 year old was being racist, I've been really uncomfortable with her face being everywhere, from her name being everywhere, to being interrogated by security for two hours without a guardian present. And her mother being in the media constantly isn't helping. Whole thing is a cluster fuck.

Adam Goodes has been so eloquent through this. Huge admiration for him, and good on Harry O'Brien and Nic Nat for his twitter comments calling out McGuire.

Yeah, the way she has been dealt with is way out of step with the usual Australian practices of legal justice when it comes to 13 year olds who screw up. Oddly enough, if she'd actually been charged with something I think there would have been a better chance of keeping the media intrusiveness
to an acceptable level.

Yeah. I thought it was kind of sad that the best advocate for the 13 year old girl was the man she racially abused in the first place.

Yeah, I don't see how anyone looks at King Kong analogies directed at POCs and says "But that's not racist, honest."

That's "clarifying the meaning", is it? Sounds more like "being caught with your pants down and babbling nonsense a mile a minute to try to cover it up".

"We acknowledge that a comment made by Eddie McGuire on Triple M’s Hot Breakfast show this morning may have been interpreted by some listeners as being racist," the statement reads.

How about "by fucking everyone"?
