Police: Campus officer shot at MIT

A campus police officer at Massachusetts Institute of Technology outside Boston was shot Thursday night, a Cambridge, Mass., officer said.

MIT campus police referred a caller to the campus news bureau, where no one answered calls.

I'm going to wait until this is confirmed. If MIT pulled this hoax once, then this one had better have a real body behind it.

Evidently this one is real. My mistake. But if there is one hoax, I'm remaining skeptical that this second one is real until it's confirmed. Once bitten, twice shy.

I'm not sure. I thought that this was the incident going on now, but it seems that this was a stupid moment on my part, as there really is a real incident going on at MIT now. Evidently the new incident has photos involving blood. Right now I think it's more failure to check the date on stories posted, and thus a goof on my part connected to mistaking one incident for another.

this article is citing an event that happened in february (check the links to the AP they have), the author got confused & thought it was about the situation tonight

seems the threat is real still
