All of the racial implications aside, I don't see anything to indicate that he formally relinquished his rights to Veronica. The "he says, she says" stuff with adoption doesn't cut it.

I'm sick of rich people's entitlement with adoption. It's time that the buying and selling of babies stopped. We need to make private adoption agencies and the specialized law firms go away. The only way to make this nonsense stop is to return the process to the state government and take the profit from it. (And that includes the NPO "rescues".)

Why is the protection of aboriginal children being threatened instead of dealing with the ways in which the system failed? The lawyer for he couple needs to admit that they're asking for an exception based on concern for the white adults' feelings and nothing more.

What I hate in adoption cases gone bad is the "we're the only family he/she has ever known" defense . If I would kidnap a child and manage to not get caught for a while does that mean I can keep the kid?
