There are no words for how much I hate Sam Brownback. It's like my loathing of Fred Phelps times 100000. I hate him and I hate this state for voting him in to office (and for voting in these other assholes that apparently hate my entire gender).
I threw a huge rant a few days ago about getting involved in local politics. Our current state government is the result of not enough people being involved in the local political process. So many people hate what's happening, but won't get up and DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. Or else they have no idea of what they can do about it.
The Kansas bill prohibits use of public funds, tax preferences or tax credits for abortion services. It prevents state-provided public health-care services from being used in any manner to carry out abortions, according to a summary.
I don't want my tax dollars going toward these services. If most people in Kansas feel the way I do, then where is the problem?
Also, people can have abortions up to 22 weeks? That's terribly sad.

This makes me so angry, and I feel so helpless at the same time.
