Nuclear Power.

We need more nuclear power. Is it dangerous? Sure, it can be, if you use plants designed thirty to fifty years ago, you don't maintain them, and you get lax on your operation and casualty drills, sure. But a properly cared for plant can do ridiculous things. We use nuclear power to power warships for Christ's sake. And with current plants being able to take "nuclear waste" from old plants and use THAT to create power...

I really wish more people fully understood how nuclear power works. As someone who slept and worked near a critical reactor for years, and has spent time with my body intertwined between the control rods, I can tell you that a little bit of education would save this country a fuckload of money and hassle.
