Do people divorce in Puerto Rico? Because if so, stepparents exist and a child could technically end up with two dads and two moms through opposite sex marriage. The horror! [/sarcasm]

Divorce is huge here. At least half of the people my age (30 and under), who got married young are divorced. Most common reason? Adultery. So yeah.
