Surrey woman left without care dies in hospital

A woman in her 80s left at home in Surrey without medication, food, or water for nine days after a care agency shut down has died in hospital. Gloria Foster was admitted to Epsom Hospital nearly two weeks ago after being found at her home in Banstead. Her home care provider, Carefirst24 in Sutton, south London, closed after a raid by the UK Border ( Read more... )

How the fuck can they just *shut down* a care agency and not check and be sure that every patient on their list is transferred/taken care of?

Surrey county council are a bunch of idiots who do the bare minimum when providing services but like to puff themselves up at any opportunity. Seriously not surprised that they'd not bother to double and triple check this.

Bloody Hell!!!! If these idiots must privatise everything they should at least have decent systems in place for when the crappy privatised firms shut down.
