Other than knitting and watching TV shows online (Holy shit West Wing is a damn good show!) I won a Starbucks gift card in a draw! I've never won a draw before!
I'm on season 1 still. Only because I'm also watching "Who Do You Think You Are" (BBC version) and other shows at the same time. Because if I pace it I get tired of it right away and will never finish watching it.
But I love how they show very strong women characters. (I <3 CJ )
omg me too! I love how it's not shown as a mockery of said strong female characters, too, like other shows I've seen. I'm watching WW while I do tapestry weaving, so I'm able to process it better too [woo ADD!], and it's just... DAMN, I would've benefited so much from watching this when it was out.
Going to bed early (well, for me anyway). I have an update of over 100 pieces of jewelry that I just finished up today, so my weekend is going to be a marathon of photography, photo-editing, and copy-writing. I need to beg my husband for some hand massages when it's all done, otherwise I'll have gnarled little claws instead.
In other news, I bathed my cat tonight. It was about as much fun as you'd imagine.
It's a little bare at the moment, as most of my best sellers are out of stock, but I'll have 20+ pairs of fairy wing earrings, more sterling wirework with labradorite, steampunk pieces and botanical pieces with moss and flowers up on Monday!
I started attending shul at the Conservative (traditional, egalitarian) synagogue near my house. The rabbi is pretty young, just a few years older than me (early 30s?) and kind or cute. The last time I went he was very encouraging of my wearing a kippah. I had ordered one after the first time I went but it hadn't come in so I had to use one of the synagogue's.
I went to my usual synagogue tonight and was one of a few women wearing a kippah. Even at the egalitarian minyan, not many women wear kippot (all wear tallitot though). Anyway, I just came back from Shabbos dinner at my rabbi's house. It was good and I was actually able to eat stuff.
Also, I am going to be applying for some new jobs. Hopefully it will work out. I am really sick of working where I currently am. The pay and hours are lousy. I am not treated very well. Ugh.
I play Pathfinder :). We have two campaigns going with different groups. In one, I drew from the deck of many things and my character is now neutral evil. So, uh, yeah. That sure changes things. What do you play?
I'm in a WoA LARP atm and in two D&D campaigns. One is a Gestault game and I am playing a Chao/Good tiefling and I have a chao/neut snow elf in our Frostburn game. He's a ranger and rides a dire boar, affectionately named by the party as Bacontank.

Nerds. We'll kill you with our brains. :P
Aside, things are okay. I meet with my surgeon on Monday, and will FINALLY find out when I'm having my surgery. It should be within the next month, if not sooner if I can get squeezed in. My parents are worried that I'll have it done while they're on vacation (they leave on Thursday for 2 weeks), and wont be able to take care of me (even though its only day surgery). They're usually of the "you're strong like bull and can take care of yourself" mindset, so seeing them act like this to their 33 year old daughter is...weird. They're not ones to normally express emotions.
I'm just looking forward to finally putting this all behind me, and focus on finding a better job in 2013 and traveling. I NEED TO BUST OUT, _P. Do some bucket list stuff.
