For some reason, news sites have the most problems with character encoding. Most likely, whoever copied it into the article doesn't know it changed.

In their backwards-ass world, the second amendment apparently comes before the first.

The First Amendment is only for self-righteous American assholes and bigots, didn't you know? Everybody else who uses it, well, they're just WRONG! And...STUPID. And...THEY HATE FREEDOM.

Under no circumstances should Piers Morgan ever make someone proud to be British.

Ah but being continually let down by the England football team has left me in a vulnerable position so I have to take what I can get!

Hey, your football team is, in general, better than ours.

And you can certainly have Piers back, but not for this bullshit reason.

I can't see this shit flying, in fact it might actually help his career (no publicity is bad publicity).

"is engaged in a hostile attack against the US Constitution by targeting the Second Amendment".

"We demand that Mr. Morgan be deported immediately for his effort to undermine the Bill of Rights and for exploiting his position as a national network television host to stage attacks against the rights of American citizens," the petition said.

Not actually legal grounds for revoking someone's visa, just sayin'. Not that I think that the second amendment maximalists understand or care about the REST of the Constitution -- you know, the 'rule of law' parts.

Exactly. You can't just vote someone off the island.

I actually got around to thinking about it after commenting and really want to know if the people who want to deport him even believe he has a right to the First Amendment or protection under the Constitution because he's a Brit.
