I am sick of the United State's pandering to the Israeli government. I wish we would tie foreign aid to dismantling the settlements and better treatment of Palestinians. And Netanyahu needs to go away and stay gone this time. I don't think that he is good for Israel, and is hampering the Two State Solution which I believe is the best solution out there for peace and security to both peoples. Israel is in a tenuous position, but I think that the Likud approach is wrong.
That'll end when the Jewish/Isreali Lobby here in the US gets sick of how the Isrealu Gov is running. As long as they keep pumping money into re-election coffers we'll be chummy with them.
I wonder if 'crow' will be on the menu at that state dinner?
Yeah, I'm not very sympathetic to his plight. We'd all be a lot better off if this unhealthy relationship WAS a little bit strained. Maybe Netanyahu wouldn't be such an ass if he didn't think he could say or do anything and still get us to protect him.
No, seriously. I'm tired of American politicians who sound like they care more about Israel than America. (Unfortunately, I run across a lot of them, at the edge of a heavily Orthodox neighborhood. They thought Anthony Weiner was too pro-Palestine...)
