Seriously. Strangest opening question ... unless the point was to give each of them an opening to condemn the two-party system. If that's what they were going for, it worked out nicely.

This debate is sponsored by a group who wants elections to be opened up to the 3rd parties, so I guess they all wanted to stress that. These candidates have been shut out of the political debates (and often the political system) because they're not GOP or Democrat.
