Those Mormon bloggers man, way to find yet another way to judge the appearances of women in the political spotlight. I'm no fan of the Romneys but that's just freaking stupid.

The underwear site idk what to think. The site and dressing up Mormon for Halloween aren't really comparable to wearing Muslim garb as a costume though. I'd say a better analogy would be to nun and priest costumes but even then, the fact that only the Mormon church can make and distribute official ~magical underwear~ makes it feel more skeevy to me. So people have to make their tithes in order to get this special underwear and the church profits further off their purchase, and then gets to judge them if they don't wear this crap all the time (one of the sites I looked up says that church elders would feel up members to make sure they had the things on). Hmmm

I'll tentatively say it's a good thing to get more info about this out there so would-be Mormon converts don't go into it as blindly

It's true - Mormons would always talk shit on each other about their "g-lines" looking to see whether they were wearing garments or not.

yeah, sorry, joking about mormon underpants (NOT holding public debate over a specific woman's) isn't really comparable to the harm mormons do by purchasing them and tithing to the church
