Mystery Science Theater 3000: Birther Edition!

Will the Latest Obama Conspiracy Help Him Win Ohio?

I'd tried so hard to ignore the latest of the Obama conspiracy theories. As Michelle Goldberg writes, it's "tempting to ignore Dreams From My Real Father because it’s so preposterous." The documentary, by Joel Gilbert, claims that Barack Obama was sired ( Read more... )

In Ohio, I suspect many of those DVDs will be used for plinking, since AOL no longer provides so many shiny free targets.

Maybe in the Cleveland and Columbus areas, and small isolated pockets riddling the state like so much Swiss cheese - a goodly percentage of the state is pretty firmly socketed in the "Right Wing Shitpastry" category.

Part of me wonders if this isn't some type of sociological experiment. 'Hey let's pick two black men who looked nothing like each other and see how many white people think that they look alike.' Maybe its a clever new way to measure the level of racism in Ohio.

Seriously, if Obama looks like Davis, I look just like Sarah Ferguson. What? We're both redheads, same age, - why we could practically be twins!

A theory based on Obama supposedly looking like this man and the fact, in racist birthers minds, if Ann Dunham had sex with one black man, she probably had sex with every black man that crossed her path. How is that shit supposed to make sense to or sway anyone who wasn't already a committed birther.

It costs $0.70 to replicate a DVD (estimate numbers from 2009). With more than 1,000,000 copies sent out in Ohio and approximately 100,000 copies each to Nevada and New Hampshire, the cost of the DVDs alone is around $840,000. Add in the cost of packaging and mailing the DVDs and the cost has to be over $1,000,000. Then there is the cost of producing this "documentary," which I can only hope sucked up a lot more of the money flowing into Romney's war chests. Since the only people who will bother to sit though the movie and give it any credence would never have voted for Obama anyway, I can only applaud this phenomenal waste of money.

If they could get away with claiming that to conceive a black president she slept with the devil at the crossroads at midnight, they would.

Lol, that's a SPN reference isn't it? (Been years since I watched it so I'm just double-checking.)
