This fall Matthew Heimbach, a student at the public university in the Baltimore suburbs proposed starting a white student union. His calls attracted immediate attention; with his cloudy but very emphatic views on race, he’s excellent at courting

Yeah, I lived in the South for 10 years and I intend to return - and the Confederate flag has ALWAYS been a symbol of race. I've never seen a non-white person rocking it.
