Jon Stewart rants about 'Romney campaign headquarters,' aka Fox News

Sep 20, 2012 23:40

If the Mitt Romney campaign hoped the leaked video of his ill-considered remarks at a May fundraiser would be a one-night story … well, it was mistaken. But Fox News came away with as many woes as the candidate when Jon Stewart was done with his “Daily Show” monologue Wednesday night.

Legit made me stand up and applaud last night... )

Ngl, I am aroused rn. I love it when he gets angry.

"By the way, that's no bullshit, that's the math." UNF. Why am I finding Dems talking about math so sexy rn (this & Clinton's "ze-ro" bit of his DNC speech)

Rarely does a monologue bring a tear to my eye. Dont know why though-because it was so beautifully, spotlessly delivered, or because of it's painful disgusting truth. Either way, good job, Jon & staff. You were on fire. What I really fucking hate is Fox claiming the tape is not a real issue, that its a distraction from the actual problems like unemployment, Middle East, blah blah blah. Uh. considering that the remarks are about half the population in this country and what he thinks of us and how he would run this place-it couldn't be more important. This isnt some bullshit so and so dated a porn star or ordered french fries at a sushi place type distraction-this is serious shit involving the real daily lives of people who's lives could be turned upside down by the election of their boy, Mitt. For once, this is a VERY serious issue. And while Im here, I just want to bitch about these fucks and their constant complaining about "handouts" and welfare and medicare in one breath and then turn around and act like they give a shit about the ( ... )

a+

Jon nailed everything Ive been thinking but could not word so eloquently.

he always does tho, for me at least. i constantly find myself nodding and being like YES. SOMEONE ELSE GETS IT. it's so cathartic, i honestly notice myself getting more stressed if i read up too much on current events when he's not on lol

Exactly! I can sit there and think "ok. so this really is the clusterfuck I think it is. Im not crazy or just not getting it. It really is this ridiculous. Whew... Im not the only one". Ha! It's sad in terms of the events, but it's re-assuring to know Im not 1)stupid 2) alone in my frustration.

*hearts-in-eyes*

I'd forgotten how much I love Jon Stewart. I need to start watching again, or at least hitting the Comedy Central website.
