I think at this point it is safe to say that it really isn't about the movie. It's more like the straw that broke the camels back. The US has been horrendous and hypocritical in its foreign policy. It's no wonder people are angry. In their position, I would be angry too.

The obvious solution would be to stop meddling in foreign affairs and allow other country's people to govern themselves in ways they see fit, but I don't see that happening anytime soon, if ever.

i really couldn't agree more with you! i can't condone the violence, but i can't blame citizens from other countries for being pissed off and our constantly getting involved in things that don't concern us directly. :/

thanks, this looks interesting. So much of the reporting I've seen on this stuff (although admittedly, I haven't had a lot of time to keep up with the news lately) has been so ridiculously simplistic, and you would think that the movie was the only issue at play here.
