LET'S TALK ABOUT DRUMS!!!

what's your favorite muse song in terms of the drumming?

i really like showbiz because dom does some great things with the dynamics, the way it goes from soft to super loud so gradually and perfectly.

there are others but i figure i'd leave it open for discussion. FFA!!! talk about whatever!! :D

SS is one of those songs that like...I will never get over in terms of anything but especially the drums. Like, holy shit, Dominic, do you have 8 arms? And it's funny that I didn't even pay attention to the drums all that much until I saw someone doing a drum cover of it on youtube and had my brain melt through my ears. tbh, pretty much anything off absolution is like...a masterclass in every instrument. Some of the best basslines are on that album, some of the best drums, the best guitar solos. AP will forever be my favourite muse piano track. That said tho...MOTP will tear down any arena with the force of its quake. Goddamn. Shrinking Universe has really bouncy, off kilter, trip-hop drums that are so my jam (and like i know its not the post but shitting tits dat bass yall). Darskhines is another culprit of great everything.

stockholm syndrome makes dom look like a fucking beast my GOD he's flawless

apocalypse please is one of the best album openers i've ever heard. IT IS SO UNNERVING AND BEAUTIFUL.

i'm thinking i'm gonna do another FFA next week about bass lines. (IF ANYONE ELSE FUCKING SHOWS UP, GOD :(((( )

ooooooooooh i love love love the drums in knights of cydonia... also in ruled by secrecy they're so loud and powerful. also love some hoodoo.. i mean honestly the drums are great in like every song but those are just a few i can think of that i dont think anyone else has mentioned yet!
