Nme ranked Muse's discography. Discuss.

6. The Resistance
Obviously this is all relative - an average Muse album is still miles better than anything by, say, Mumford & Sons - but 'The Resistance' is the only real disappointment in Muse's canon.

hee, giggling at the subtle m&s diss

5. Showbiz
It's amazing how muted Muse's debut sounds today, since on its ( Read more... )

I really like that, according to Dom, "that song’s about putting emotion into something that has no soul - like a child’s teddy bear or a computer. And also what it would be like if we could genetically engineer puppies that never grow old."

I mean wat.

I will probably actually get lanced for saying The 2nd Law is my least favorite album, but just because it's MY least favorite album doesn't mean I'd put it at the bottom. That said, BHAR is my favorite, but I wouldn't say it's objectively their best.

So... yeah. I agree with this list in an objective way. They weren't polished enough with OoS, and Absolution was a masterpiece that hit every single note right - musically, lyrically, conceptually, production-wise, everything.

The Resistance was a gd mess, while I did enjoy it more than Showbiz and The 2nd Law for my own reasons. It just had no idea what it was doing as an album. At least T2L has a pretty clear concept, even if I have a lot to say about the production and how much it just offends my ears. That's my biz.

Good list, but yeah

Plug In Baby

is not

Their Masterpiece.

Though good call on Citizen Erased.

I totally agree with that... But I think they'll keep playing it as long as they get such a strong vibe from the crowd. But yeah, it's far from being their masterpiece in my opinion.
