Isn't Thorin's beard supposed to be white?

I don't have the book handy, but I've seen drawings where he's drawn with dark hair so I don't know.

According to hobbitcentral, who probably checked the book, Thorin is "silver haired". He is also not a young dwarf which he's probably supposed to look like Balin, only a little younger. (I've got to find my copy of the Hobbit and check)

BTW my comment in reply, which was completely innocuous, was screened. WTF?

Here is it is again: According to hobbitcentral (website), who probably checked the book, Thorin is "silver haired". He is also not a young dwarf which he's probably supposed to look like Balin, only a little younger. (I've got to find my copy of the Hobbit and check)

Gah!

I'm having horrible visions of Thorin as a Klingon. What's going on with his forehead?! Cannot unsee!

It is awesome to see what they've come up with though. So excited to see them in action - I think they'll look even better then!

There is a Klingon vibe, but in the calmer shot of him he looks less Klingon-like. I think the forehead is more an Armitage glowering furrow than anything else. :-) Seeing them all together in the third video, they all look right to me. Maybe different than what was written but still great.

He does like to do the glowering furrowed brow :D

I do like the interpretations, i think they'll work well in the PJverse especially as they've made the effort to make Gloin resemble Gimli so newer fans will get who he is.
