I adore Treebeard, Quickbeam and all the Ents; sometimes I feel like the only person who wanted more Treebeard in Two Towers and not less. *g* Almost everything he says is a favorite quote ("It takes a long time to say anything in Old Entish. And we never say anything unless it is worth taking a long time to say.") but an absolute favorite is Pippin's description of Treebeard's eyes ( ... )

I think what bothered me about the movie!ents in general was that so much of the time the hobbits reacted to them with yawning and rolling their eyes. Instead of trying to make the whole thing ~comical I would have wanted to see more respect and awe in their reactions. And while yes, the added tension of the ent moot deciding "no" at first gives Merry and Pippin something to "do" I thought it just ruined the characterisation of what ents are about. So yes to more Treebeard, especially if it would have meant doing him "right" and not hastily. ;)
