Also EL OH EL wow, he was pissed there at the end- but I think I would be really irritated if I thought I was just talked and was HEY JUST KIDDING on my friend's show.
I am so kind of shocked that Odd Jobs got shelved. It seemed like such a shoo-in, with those two actors and a big built-in fanbase. I wonder what happened?
Amazing Andy was an interesting guy, lol. The end of the call was apparently a practical joke, which a couple of people are all ragey about on the link I first posted up there. Twitter transcripts confuse the crap out of me, but I seem to remember hearing about this interviewer being douchey and weirdly hateful about the fans before. Why he does this so publicly is a mystery to me, but I'm not going to take it personally. And if he thinks asking about this phone call is zomg crazy, he doesn't know jackshit about fandom. But anyway, hearing it from Emerson himself has helped me out of my denial about the previous reports that Odd Jobs wasn't going forward, very sad. All I heard before the stuff about Person of Interest was that Variety said the script for Odd Jobs had come in late. Maybe it was really awful or otherwise unworkable. I had hoped it would take off, but felt a bit cynical about the chances of the networks centering a show on two older guys who don't look like models. They hate me and my tastes, lol.
Heh, I always think actors must use their abilities for nefarious purposes, because I know I would. I still have faith that we'll see them together again in something eventually. It was an awesome thread! Come back if you like, I'm not a stickler for punctuality or anything. I still get comments on stuff I posted a year ago sometimes.
I know, I would have watched that thing all day long. Apparently the end of the call was a practical joke, as per the ragey comments and twitter transcripts at the link I posted. The interviewer really seems to hate Memerson's fans for some reason. Whatever, man.

And whoopsie, that ending is completely awkward. Tricking a friend into an interview is not something you do if you're a professional.
