HI GUYS. I've durped around in comments about the Lost Auctions without actually ... posting pics of the Richard costume that I got, but this weekend I also attended (am still attending, technically, LAST DAY!) the New York Anime Festival/Comic Con. And they were selling a limited number of the Lost Encyclopedias for an hour at one stand. Tara ( Read more... )

I have! It's really huuuuuge and I was at the con + work today so haven't sat down with it yet, but flipping around it's so informational and picture-filled.

THEY DO! I had it preordered on Amazon FOREVER and kept ... forgetting about it until something reminded me then I was like "... WHERE THE HELL IS THAT ANYWAY." Sp when I found the booth yesterday and they told me that I just went. OH SNAP hi Amazon CANCEL ORDER.

You probably would not envy my wallet -- though the book wasn't too bad. But one day soon when I get a display for it I want to take more of the costume.

Thanks! And no prob, I wanna post more soon.

IT'S AMAZING. It's so huge and not only has so many pictures and artworks and maps and layouts and stuff, but the information is super. One thing I was reading reminded me do people still think the plane at the very end was anything but the Ajira flight? Cause the book basically confirms YEAH NO IT'S NOT SOMETHING ELSE. And while it's not an ANSWERS TO EVERYTHING EVER!!! book it has little things like that.

I can't believe you were able to win something from the auctions! I tried for something, but it skyrocketed out of my price range. Is it utterly déclassé to ask what you ended up paying for the outfit?

God, the Encyclopedia, is there anything for Annie stans like me who still can't let go?

It was $800, so more or less my credit card is going to be off limits to me for a while (thankfully though I only use my credit card for big things like that so I am not the type to go crazy overboard and dig myself into a gigantic hole of debt and no money and sobbing endlessly; it'll just take me a bit to pay it all back) Which for me was my limit-- I watched the auctions basically going "OKAY I WANT SOMETHING BEN, LOCKE, RICHARD OR DANIEL RELATED!" and needless to say Ben and Locke things were something everyone else wanted too. Faraday had stuff like the JOURNAL which went for a crazy amount-- and his one outfit I really wanted also did (the one he wore in the end with the cuuuuute hat) so when the auctions were getting up to like lot 800 and up I was like. T^T I REALLY WANT SOMETHING WAH and lucked out on the outfit ( ... )
