so i actually really love that aaron was just... aaron. everyone is always like, 'omg... i thought he was gonna be this huge figure in the show and he should've been blah blah blah', but i'm cool with that. i think that he was SO important to kate, jack, claire, charlie (and even sawyer too) that it totally negates any other mystical element. he was aaron and so many people loved him and connected with him as a baby.

i still think it's so important that CLAIRE and claire only raised him - their bond was obviously the strongest and it's the way things SHOULD have happened. and that's just the type of bond that makes the show so endearing. fuck the mystical aspect. i care about the characters and i still think it's kind of heartbreaking that we never got to see claire and aaron reunited for real (which is probably why the writers put aaron in the afterlife at all).

Boone's death + Aaron's birth and the way they edited that was amazing and heartbreaking.
But I agree with , lostwithme, I liked his second birth even more ♥.

We thought he was the Messiah or something. Nope!

Nope, just another abandoned plot point! Consistency is tricky, OK?!

Anyway, I do love this scene, the whole episode is great, in fact. It made me realise how attached I was to all the characters by that stage of the show.
