Yeah . . . I mean, I thought Jacob had a ~sekrit plan~ in place in order to get rid of MiB and the island once and for all, and that's what he was doing, putting all the chess pieces on the board, maneuvering all this shit around.
I mean, if he's really just looking for a new person to fill his shoes . . . why didn't he just do it sooner? He's had thousands of years, after all. What's so special about 2007 and these crazy people? XD
But is that her "pick" or is she just bullshitting for that article?

“Out of all the characters, I think Hurley’s the most likable and speaks for the average Joe,” concurs Yunjin Kim. “He was always asking the questions the audience wanted to ask. And if it does turn out to be him, we’ll have golf and Ping-Pong tournaments every day!”Then again, says Daniel Dae Kim, “Perhaps Hurley will go all Marlon Brando on us and run the island like in ‘Apocalypse

It depends on the question though, they might have asked her what she thought would happen if she were the new Jacob, it might not be a case of her thinking that she herself would be Jacob.
Something I noticed - Jack and Sawyer and Desmond seem to be "hubs" around which the characters are converging in the alt. What I mean is, those characters are building connections to several others, while most of the people they meet only meet them. (Possibly a reason that Desmond ran over Locke as opposed to something involving talking to him ... maybe they have to form particular groups in the alt and Desmond couldn't have Locke with him.
Jack - Locke, Sun, Jin, Claire Sawyer - Miles, Kate, Sayid Desmond - Hurley, Libby, Faraday, (Widmore if he counts)
I may have missed some.
These don't seem to mirror anything on the island... yet. Or this theory could be totally whack.

LMAO. ME TOO. I WAS HOPING JACK WOULD WIN AND JUST SAY "TO HELL WITH THIS" AND DESTROY IT ALL.
I remember an article where some of the cast was interviewed about who they thought would be the new Jacob. Let me try to find it.

Is she saying that's who she thinks it will be or that's who she wants it to be? I would like it to be Hurley though- that's who my money's on.

And I do realize that Kate and Claire have their own link separate from these Teams.
