I KNOW RIGHT. My friend and I were reading this and our expression was D:
I actually just watched the scene a minute ago because I really wanted to hear the music. I ♥ Giacchino. I still get super misty when I watch that scene. I used to cry every time (when I was alone, I don't do crying infront of people), but I slowly stopped. Its just such a heartbreaking scene. :(
This actually got me really excited about what's to come in regards to Jules. I thought they weren't going to bother with her as a character and her individual storyline but...hell maybe they are! Perhaps she'll be deeply involved in the mythology and we find out she's someone very important in that aspect. To see her go head to head with Ben would be amazing and I know that's Liz's number 1 wish. Of course this would seem like a big ass retcon considering her story has only been about romance for 2 seasons straight but if it's done well, it could be amazing.
I suddenly had the notion of her "haunting" Ben as sort of a "You're the reason I ever ended up on this Island. You're the reason I died." and really freaking Ben out.
Probably won't happen...but it would awesome if it did....
Both actors have such amazing chemistry together. It really baffles me that TPTB didn't take advantage of that after Season 3. Instead we get a creepy episode of Ben being obsessed with her which is dropped as soon as it was brought up. And virtually no interaction between little Ben and Juliet in Season 5.
Reminds me of when Juliet confronted Ben about having the tumor. She slapped the cup off his hand and completely dominated him for those few seconds. I thought then, "wow she is a force to be reckoned with". Then she starts crying on Ben's shoulder and it's so obvious that while she is strong, she's also vulnerable and utterly heartbroken. The writing for her was so amazing back then.
So she's was forced into the background because they couldn't think of anything more to do with her...yet apparently she's still very important in the show and still has a story to tell....

Excuse me while I die inside a little more.
Who else can't bring themselves to watch that scene ever again?
