- I think Korra has a nightmare about Amon earlier on in this episode, which she wakes up screaming from like we've seen in some of the promos, and the fear is probably one of the driving reasons behind her joining this mission. - She's clearly upset about something in the beginning - a fight with Tenzin over joining the police force? And I don't trust Tarrlok; I think he probably manipulated her in some way. - That said I don't approve of handling the equalist movement this way AT ALL and gosh Korra ilu but you need to realize this is not the right way to handle an oppressed group and when is Aang going to come and help you and a;sdlfkjsljk - SLAMMING SOMEONE WITH A HUGE ROCK AND FREEZING THEM AGAINST A WALL SO THEY CAN'T BREATHE wow they weren't kidding when they said this show is dark
In Atla I recall Katara freezing people under a river and they never followed up on that. I guess they thought if they got away with it in the last series (Zuko getting smashed around a lot on S1 too!), then they were certainly fine with encasing people in ice and crushing them with their earthbending.
Hmm. Actually, people have died in the series. Zhoa, for one. Plus the final battle had people flying everyehere...possibly deaths there too. It was WAR, afterall.
All this makes me stand by my thinking that THIS SHOW SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON ADULTSWIM FOR REALZ!
I can't wait for Korra's development. She needs Asami to provide a non-bender view to the movement. The Equalists are right, it's just that Amon is going about EVERYTHING all wrong and his violence and malice is not the way for the movement to go. He literally scares me so, SO much.
And to add to the fact, this is FUCKED UP. I didn't watch the clip before but holy. shit. That is a million shades of wrong. I cannot believe that just happened. They KILLED those people.
If they show them removing from the ice from their heads and they're still alive, I'll rebuke that but they cut off their oxygen supply and they pummeled a guy into a wall with a large stone.
I know some suspended belief needs to be utilized but that's is just scary.
