I find his words really upsetting, especially because I expected more from him. I'm tired of straight actors being applauded for playing gay roles, and adding in the kissing part is even more messed up. And I hate that he addressed it on Twitter, because now I can't just brush off that maybe he just misspoke. Nope. He really seems to think there's something noteworthy about a straight actor being willingly to kiss another man

I never really see Naya or Heather getting the kind of praise for playing a gay/bisexual role that Darren gets
they don't have penises, silly, they aren't as brave. plus it's easier for women to control their urges to complain about doing icky gay things for money. (not that naya and hemo haven't said some questionable shit about it in the past, just like darren has.)
