Why the fuck doesn't Lea speak up and say THIS ISN'T REMOTELY CLOSE TO HOW BROADWAY CASTING AND PRODUCTION WORKS.

Though that would imply that anything in Glee is remotely close to reality.

For real. Another example: During S3-4 I REPEATEDLY checked whether RIB went to college because the storytelling was so bizarre.

I think you answered your question right there. Nothing on this show is remotely close to how the world actually works.

Lea (or, really, almost the entire cast) could also, for instance, have told them that going to a performing arts school is not a prerequisite for pursuing an acts career, even though all of season 3 proceeded on this assumption. I guess they belatedly got the message, based on Santana's subsequent moves.

Lea probably doesn't say anything because when Ryan gets mad at you he literally will throw your character under the bus. Then Santana would get the lead any way.

I love how there is (already) 0% focus on the newbies in these stills. You can see them in the background here and there but still. I feel kind of bad for them :')
